What is a LAN party

       A LAN party is when a group of people come to a centralized location with there computers and net work them all together. What we do is play games (Half life, Counter Strike, Alien vs. Predator, DOD, Wolfinstien, and what ever you can convince us to play), file sharing, and showing of our computer systems (well at least for me). You may be wondering why  should I move my computer to a LAN party? well the answer is that LAN speeds are up to 100Mbps  vs. DSL or cable at 1.5Mbps, plus the LAN has a very low ping (witch is  always good). Another question is there any special hardware and or software? Well yes your do need a NIC (Network Interface Card) this high price device costs around $20-$40, for software there is nothing that windows doesn't have.         Hi there, the LAN party is coming up soon so if you are new to my parties please contact me so I can get an accurate count for food and soda. If you are new to the LAN parties in general, and you are just wondering what they are like contact me and I will try to give you an accurate account of the parties, and you might get in for free.

       Ok people there is a new LAN party that I am hosting, its on the 1st and 2nd of march.  If this is your first time going to one of mine then you can get in for $5, but if you are a regular then is $10.

LAN Party in Paso Robles CA, on the 16-17 of this month. (FEB)

         I'm not hosting this party so don't ask me about the details right now come back on the 2 5 2002.  Will  is hosting this in is fathers shop it is already networked, but I wouldn't trust it.  Please contact me via ICQ or msn under contacts.
